Classy Dames: Amy Sedaris

First of all, Amy Sedaris is by far one of the coolest women ever. She's outrageously funny, she considers herself a housewife with no husband, she co-created "Strangers With Candy" with Stephen Colbert, and she's one of my heroines.. And by heroine I mean my female hero.. I don't want to inject her and listen to jazz. (Liz Lemon quote -natch)

Here's a video of her making cakes on the Martha Stewart Show. I think either her jokes were flying right over Martha's head or she just chose to ignore them. Either way, I love it.

This book is Amy's take on entertaining the old fashioned way, when it was "charmingly old-fashioned, like courtship or back alley abortions." It offers hilarious offbeat advice for dinner parties and such (which won't necessarily be useful as I'm a hermit with no friends, but funny none the less). Want.
